How do I change or remove my avatar?

You change your ArcBase avatar in "Profile" → "Personal Information": click the pencil next to your avatar and pick a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 2 MB. The "Remove avatar" button removes an uploaded avatar. Your Discord avatar comes back the next time you sign in with Discord.

How to change your avatar

  1. 1.

Click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose "Personal Information".

  2. 2.

Click the pencil icon next to your avatar.

  3. 3.

Pick a file on your computer or phone.

The new avatar appears right away. There is no cropping window: the site shrinks the image on its own and shows it in a circle. So it's best to place the main subject of the image in the center.

What avatar can you upload?

  • Formats: JPG, PNG, or WebP. GIF and SVG are not supported.

  • File size: up to 2 MB. The site compresses large photos on its own before uploading, so they usually go through.

  • The image is shown in a circle. The corners of a square image are cut off.

How do you remove your avatar?

  1. 1.

In "Personal Information", click "Remove avatar".

  2. 2.

In the "Remove avatar?" window, click "Remove avatar".

After removal, your account has no image. The next time you sign in with Discord, the site takes your Discord avatar again.

Why doesn't your Discord avatar update?

The site takes your Discord avatar every time you sign in, but only if you have not uploaded your own. The site does not replace an uploaded avatar. To get your Discord avatar back, remove your avatar, sign out, and sign in with Discord again. The image may appear with a short delay.

A manually uploaded avatar stays even if you change your avatar in Discord.
