How do I get notifications in Discord?

ArcBase can send site notifications to your Discord DMs. Turn on "Notify me in Discord DMs" in the "Notifications" section of your profile. The bot messages you only if a notification has stayed unread on the site for 1 minute. The bot can message only members of the Discord server it is on.

How to turn on Discord notifications

Open the notification settings

    Click the profile button in the site header.

    Click "Notifications".

Turn on the switch

    In the "Discord" card, turn on "Notify me in Discord DMs".

    If you are already a member of the bot's server, notifications turn on right away. The bot sends you a Discord message "Arcbase notifications are on".

    If you are not a member of the bot's server, the site shows a list of servers. Click the arrow next to a server and confirm signing in to Discord. The bot adds you to the server on its own.

Choose topics

In the "Notify me about" block, turn on the switches for the topics you want in Discord:

  • "Trade chat messages";

  • "Contract updates";

  • "Trade status changes";

  • "Reviews";

  • "Wallet credits";

  • "Achievements".

By default, everything is on except "Achievements". Your choice is saved right away.

Why don't all notifications reach Discord?

The bot messages you only about what has stayed unread on the site for 1 minute. If you read a notification on the site sooner, it does not reach Discord. For new messages in one chat, the bot messages you once until you read the chat. The bot combines several events within 1 minute into one message. Bot messages do not include chat text or links.

Why can't you connect Discord?

  • A different Discord account. You can connect only the Discord account you used to sign in to ArcBase. Otherwise the site shows "This Discord account is not the one linked to your Arcbase account.".

  • DMs are closed. In Discord's privacy settings, allow direct messages from server members and connect again.

  • Too many servers. If you are in the maximum number of Discord servers, leave one and connect again.

  • Banned on the server. If you are banned on the bot's server, the bot can't message you.

Why did you get "Discord notifications turned off"?

This is a notification on the site. It means the bot can no longer message you: for example, you closed your DMs or blocked the bot. The status in the "Discord" card changes to "Disconnected". Fix the cause in Discord and turn the switch on again. You can also click the notification itself, and it opens the settings.

What language does the bot use?

The bot uses the site language that was selected when you connected. If you changed the site language, turn the switch off and on again.

To stop the bot from messaging you, turn off the switch on the site or click "Turn off notifications" in the bot's message. You can turn them back on in the same place.
