What do I do if I've been scammed?

If your partner on ArcBase didn't fulfill the terms of a trade with Credits, leave a negative review. The trade gets the "Disputed" status, and the Credits stay reserved. Open the dispute form and send your evidence within 24 hours. An administrator makes the decision: either the seller gets the Credits, or they are returned to the buyer.

How to open a dispute

Leave a negative review

  1. 1.

Open the trade chat and click "Leave feedback".

  2. 2.

    Choose "Negative".

  3. 3.

Describe what went wrong: 5 to 2000 characters.

  4. 4.

    Click "Send report".

Wait for your partner's review

The dispute starts once both sides have a review. If your partner doesn't leave a review, the site creates one automatically when the trade time runs out: 1 hour for items, 12 hours for services. After that, the contract gets the "Contract disputed" status.

Send your evidence

  1. 1.

In the trade chat, find the "Contract disputed" block.

  2. 2.

    Copy the "Trade ID".

  3. 3.

Click "Open dispute form". The form opens in Discord.

  4. 4.

Enter the trade ID, describe the problem and attach your evidence.

The timer in the "Contract disputed" block shows how much of the 24 hours is left.

Wait for the decision

An administrator reviews the evidence and makes a decision. The result appears in the trade chat.

What evidence do I need?

  • A video recording of the in-game exchange — the strongest evidence.

  • Screenshots from the game.

  • A description: what the contract said and what you received.

You can't write in the trade chat during a dispute. Evidence is accepted only through the dispute form.

Record every in-game exchange on video. Without evidence, it's harder for the administrator to decide in your favor.

What happens to the Credits?

The Credits stay reserved until the administrator decides. There are 2 possible outcomes:

  • Trade fulfilled. The seller gets the Credits, and the trade gets the "Completed" status.

  • Funds refunded. The Credits, including the fee, are returned to the buyer, and the trade gets the "Failed" status.

What if the trade had no Credits?

A dispute is only possible in trades with Credits. If the contract had only items or "Seeds", a negative review doesn't open a dispute. The trade completes, and the negative review lowers your partner's score.

How does a dispute affect reputation?

The administrator's decision replaces both sides' reviews for this contract. A lost dispute lowers the score more than a regular negative review: it counts as 2 negative reviews. A won dispute counts as a positive review.
