How do I cancel a trade or contract?
On ArcBase, you cancel a trade with the "Decline trade" button in the trade chat. This can't be undone: the trade closes for both sides. You can decline or cancel a contract separately, and then the trade continues. After the contract is signed, you can no longer cancel the trade.

How to decline a trade
- 1.
Open the trade chat.
- 2.
Click "Decline trade".
- 3.
In the "Decline trade?" window, click "Yes, decline".
The trade gets the "Declined" status. Your partner sees a message in the chat that the trade was declined.

When can't I decline a trade?
There is an active contract. While the contract is waiting to be signed, there is no "Decline trade" button. Decline or cancel the contract first.
The contract is signed. After signing, you can't cancel the trade. Transfer the items and leave a review. If your partner scammed you in a trade with Credits, open a dispute.
How do I decline or cancel a contract?
The partner can click "Decline" in the "Review contract" panel.
The listing owner can click "Cancel contract".
There is no confirmation: the contract closes right away. The trade stays active. The owner can send a new contract, and the partner can keep talking in the chat.
What happens to the Credits?
If the Credits are already reserved, they are returned to the buyer in full, including the fee. The refund may arrive with a slight delay.
Does cancelling affect my score?
A declined trade doesn't count toward "Success Trades" and doesn't lower your level. But the site tracks how quickly the listing owner replies in the chat. Staying silent for a long time before declining worsens your "Avg response time".
Once you start a trade, see it through or decline it right away. An abandoned trade gets in your partner's way.
